You never hear about cat abuse, but believe me it exists. I story I read recently happened back in Florida in August of 2007. A cat was abandoned at a shelter and was so badly matted with feces and cat litter. The cat had to be shaved to get all the matted fur off. This poor cat had a collar that was embedded in its neck.
Why and how can someone do this to a cat? It is deplorable to think about harming a poor cat this way. Having three cats of my own, makes me sad to think that I could not save this cat from a horrible life. I wish I knew it was that did this to this poor little creature.
Cats are loving and do not deserve this kind of treatment. Neither do our kids. Wow, did you read that? Our kids do not deserve to be treated that way and neither do our cats or any other animal. They depend on us to take care of them, not abuse them.
Can you think of any reason why animal abuse and child abuse do not carry the same punishments? I cannot. I believe that people who abuse animals need to receive stricter punishments and jail time. They should be marked for public notice.
Laws need to change to protect our precious cats and all our animals. Don’t you agree?

It is something that most people never hear about because it does make the front page. Dog abuse on the other hand always makes the front page. All animals are created equal and I have been finding more stories about cat abuse that others have never heard about. It is those who have sadistic behavoir that do this type of cruelty to animals. Most kids who abuse animals have gone on to become criminals and abuse kids and people in general.
