Getting Cats Use To Babies

Cats are funny little creatures, you never know who they will like and who they will not like. Bringing home a new baby may or may not be tolerated. Baby cries can sometimes scare or annoy cats. Cats will need time to adjust to a new family member, but never try to introduce them until they are ready. Cats will gradually check out the baby when they feel the time is right. It is usually when they accept that the baby is going to stay a while.

Very friendly cats will more than likely warm up quickly, but cats that tend to hide when visitors come around, may take quite a while to get used to the new addition. You can always see the cats lurking around, but you never know how they will act.

The one thing you need to remember is that the cats need love now more than ever. You do not want to make them feel like they are left out now that a new member has arrived. Little treats here and there as well as petting and cuddling will make them feel like they are still number one. Take the time to let your cats know you still love them.
