I had the chance to see a pet cemetery one day on a drive out in the country. The fascinating thing about the pet cemetery was that it resembled the pet cemetery that was pictured in the movie “Pet Cemetery.” There was a distinct connection to the movie as far as looks, eeriness and markers for each grave.
Getting out of the car to look at the markers was fascinating. There were markers for every pet in the cemetery. Where the pats actually came from was unknown, but they all had names. There were about forty pets in the cemetery with markers. They were spread out in the cemetery with know special order. It looked as if people would just choose an area and that is were they buried there pet.
Because I had watched the movie “Pet Cemetery,” I was hesitant to enter the cemetery, but I did survive. It was very unusual to see since it was in the middle of nowhere and the nearest house was about a half a mile away. The cemetery was kept up and was not overgrown with weeds even though it was in a field.
Since this was the only one I have ever seen, I was amazed that people actually do have a cemetery for their beloved pets. I guess there are many people who believe their pets deserve a resting place after death.
